Recording Time: 6:20:00 AM (UTC -4). Temperature: 10 C. Habitat: Mixed Coniferous/Deciduous, Pond Edge. Behavior and other notes: Seen Song Sparrow singing from a perch about 1.5 m above the ground on the edge of Witch Hole. At the pause in the recording, the bird had briefly flown, but returned in a minute or so and resumed singing from the same perch. Bull frogs in the background, and a few soft splashes on the foggy pond. Specific Location: Latitude 44.400509, Longitude -68.244651, Elevation 75 m. Acadia National Park, Mount Desert Island, Maine. Edge of Witch Hole Pond about 0.1 km southeast of the junction with the carriage path from Hull Cove Visitor Center. ID'd by Sight & Sound; ID confidence 100%.
