Observation details
- located this bird by following 5 ruby-crowned kinglets which were noisily scolding something located on the ground - soon flushed the bird (outer white tail feathers indicated it was a male) and it flew off like a giant brown moth uttering a sharp "KWUP" call-note - luckily, it landed on a sloping trunk of a staghorn sumac about 2 feet above ground (will load pics soon) - bird was in bushy area near cedars, located behind lookout platform on opposite side of the road
