Observation details
An amazing experience seeing so many of these tundra gems which clearly had just arrived and were aggressively trying to set up territory. Noticing how they would try and conquer a slightly elevated bump in the tundra provided the opportunity to lay flat out and grab some shots of what seemed to be a 'longspur lek'. Aggressive tail flicking is a behavior I hadn't heard of before, and might only happen in the first few days of arriving.
