Observation details
got 3 visuals of birds in pines on NW side of El Rio and Oak Manor intersection. Birds have been known to roost in Oak Manor neighborhood for several years, but several years ago their traditional roost in redwoods near Pomo and Yosemite fell under new ownership, and new owners discouraged the 25+ birds from roosting there. Since then lesser numbers of roosting birds have been found in other conifers trees throughout the neighborhood, but never with any longevity of roost-site fidelity that we can tell yet. There were probably more birds tucked into the branches of the backyard pines.
