Observation details
Surprising bird to see for this date. Swimming by the bridge. Could easily see the way it held its head and long bill upturned, characteristic of a DCCO. It also raised itself up extending its wings, affording an additional look at the shape of this bird. The yellow under its chin was visible, as was the pale chest, suggesting an immature bird.
