Observation details
*rare; no PUMA colonies in Nantucket county. Odd flyby at Bigelow's point in the morning. First picked out by shape and color. It appeared dark at first with a seemingly longer tail than TRES but definitely shorter than BARS. It looked noticeably larger than TRES but not tremendously so. I noticed a light collar around the nape so CLSW/CASW popped into my head as well before realizing I had a Martin. I quickly snapped some photos as it continued Northwest along Bigelow's. Dark on top, white below with dark band on the lower belly just before the UTCs. White UTCs. Dark flanks which appeared streaky, dark throat and lighter collar reaching entirely around the nape. Sharply forked tail. Photos
