Observation details
This song instantly stood out to me as something different even though I didn't know it off the top of my head. Merlin grabbed it as mourning warbler, and thankfully the bird kept singing until I could get my eyes on it and confirm that it is a bright male mourning warbler. Only a few crappy documentation photos taken, as this bird stayed true to its skulky archetype and was only barely visible. Bird is near the start of the southern boardwalk trail, aligned with the first house and telephone pole, about 300 feet from the road.
