NOTES: (Breeding stat:?territorial, ?breeding; Gen. climate: transition btwn. humid & arid; Cover density: open; Strata: song perch) [Two examples of the bleating or whinnying sound emitted in flight (0:07-0:08 and 0:10-0:11) separated by one series of notes that may represent either the rolling "tuc-tuctuc-a-tuc-tuc-c-r-rooo" or the "hoarse purring" of BNA (0:095-0:10). It is unclear to me whether the whinnying is a vocal sound or instead one produced by the wings or tail. Quality unchanged (2) - CAM - 9 November 2005]. Habitat: Desert, Subtropical Desert, Thicket/Brush, Scrub.
