Media notes

Recording is from an extended duration Automated Recording Unit (ARU) deployment on Alamagan from 5/6/22-5/16/22.

Observation details

First documented detection of BRWE on the island of Alamagan. BRWE were translocated to the island of Guguan (one island south in the archipelago) in 2015 and 2016 as part of the Marianas Avifauna Conservation Plan. In 2022, no Bridled White-eyes were detected on Guguan, but they were detected on Alamagan, suggesting that the translocated individuals moved to Alamagan and established there.
