The eagle was flying fairly low in a brisk northwest wind, seen at first near a group of American Crows at the edge of a wooded area bordering a field. The eagle flew across County Highway H in Wood County, heading northeast into the Mead SWA at about 2.p.m.
Observation details
The Golden Eagle, which we believe was a second-year bird, flew across a snow-covered field toward County Highway H in Wood County, heading northeast. It continued flying northeast and crossed County Highway H into the Mead SWA at about 2 p.m on January 7, 2017. There was a brisk northwest wind, and the temperature was 3 degrees (F) above zero.
