Awesome!!! Continuing alternate-plumaged bird found yesterday morning. Small gull with completely black head, prominent white “eyelashes”, pale mantle, and dark red bill. First seen bathing in the creek with the other gulls, then flew to the adjacent stretch of beach and started preening and loafing with the other gulls. Despite being flushed several times by people, this bird always returned with the other gulls, although it occasionally flew back into the creek. BOC photo.
