Media notes

flight calls given while perched on high chain link fence; "western" Savannah in area also but not calling during recording; call note sounds a bit like a Northern Parula flight note and actually seems shorter and less modulated than "western" Savannah

Observation details

four together seen well and audio recorded; seemed very confiding, allowing approach within 10 ft; a fifth was dilute plumaged bird looking impressively like Ipswich and blending in paler sand (photos); seemed to actually prefer paler sand area and more often flushed in that direction than joined the other individuals
