Observation details
Heard this new sound, checked on Merlin and it said black-billed cuckoo! I recorded in a different app because Merlin recordings are disappearing, yay, was able to upload it here. It stayed in one place for a long time, I tried to see it...it would silently disappear, then I'd hear the sound again further away. I followed it 4 or five times this way, yet could never get a glimpse in the thick tree/brush it was hiding in.
