Observation details
Lifer!! Athletically shaped peep. Showed long wings that extend noticeably past the tail tips, a larger size than adjacent Semi sand and nearby Least sand, streaking across breast (loose thin streaks—less density than a least sand, made it look not so distinctly like a breast band rather than just streaking across the breast), streaking that extends into flanks significantly, a shorter decurved bill (similar to least), a clean white rump (seen in flight and somewhat in video), bold white supercilium (stood out as a very clean eyebrow, kind of like a stilt sand) and distinct insect/swift-like call (slightly heard at the very end of the video). There were 7 with one semi sand, all on the beach by the parking lot where you can overlook the bay (right by the ruddy turnstones, hear the restaurant). After watching them for 15 minutes, the flock took off and flew off high and distantly—maybe headed further along their migration?
