Observation details
Great find by Kevin. Initially heard singing on the other side of the river. Buzzy high-pitched trill that I heard many times while in the vicinity of the bird and made it much easier to relocate it. I also realized after returning home that I had heard its more complex flight song that was a series of variable twitterings. I didn't think much of it at the time and was focused on listening for the trill. Before Randy arrived the bird flew across the river and began singing very close to me. Randy and I were able to get a few great looks at the bird as it moved around in the underbrush along the bank of the river. Plain brownish green on top and more buffy underneath and in the head separated by bold black streaks through the eyes and crown.
