Observation details
Continuing bird singing from top of eucalyptus in empty lot. Song was, to my ear, more similar to a California Thrasher than to a mockingbird. It was less strident, more musical, and the phrases seemed to be repeated less frequently than a Mockingbird's song. I was below the bird and looking up, so I couldn't see its mantle or wing-bars. However, I could see clearly that it was a rather large bird: brown above and white below. The throat was white but the upper breast was streaked with dark streaks. The bill was dark and obviously decurved. I've attached brief notes below.
