Observation details
It first appeared (about 7:30 a.m.) in some of the young trees growing on the east side ridge where the middle path goes up the slope. It then flew up the east ridge and into one of the taller dead trees right at the edge of the park. I was photographing a female Black-throated Blue Warbler but I could hear a distinct call. I had thought that it was a female/young male Grackle at first but the call wasn't matching up. I ran it through Merlin to assist with a positive ID and it was hitting on Rusty. Going through Cornell— my recording matches well with their first example of song calls on their site (https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/12458#_ga=2.190516520.2047418723.1651712448-19918556.1651712447)
