#19 1715 CORA Circling east of Roosevelt Island and then heading north, east of the Graduate Hotel and landing on the eastern span of the 59th Street Bridge over Roosevelt Island. • By 1720 I watched it lift and land again on the walkway south of center. It walked to the extreme south end of the walkway under the finial and remained there until 1758 always facing upriver. Then it flew to the southern end of the brace connecting the north & south sides of the bridge just west of the walkway. It was joined at 1800 by a second raven coming from the north. At 1802 one left to fly under the northern finial well below the walkway and returned to the south side of the bridge on the upper cabling joining the other raven. They were separated by several dozen feet. One was on the cabling level with the bridge and one was on an angled portion nearer the eastern tower on Roosevelt Island. Shortly after, one left heading south, east of the Graduate Hotel. The second bird remained on the angled cable jumping to a slightly higher perch by 1810 and then dropped down to the second brace west of the walkway connecting the N-S sides of the bridge. At 1815 it lifted and glided down and north of the bridge then west and I lost it soon after.
