Observation details
Unexpected and early, first noticed tripled co-co-co song, took a second for me to realize what I was hearing. Soon located, perched motionless in a sapling for ~20 mins at (36.5650059, -77.3723692). Occasionally called in response to my whistling. Excellent scope views, pics, etc. Slender cuckoo, black bill, red orbital, faint creamy wash to upper breast and throat. Good breeding habitat, extensive wet and shrubby successional habitat. Super cool encounter.
