Observation details
Potentially a Garganey hybrid. Single bird at the bottom of the dam. Dark body with dark ridge running up the back of the neck. Red eyes and bright supercilium of a Garganey make this an odd bird. Other birders at the site got some better pictures. Ultimately decided on domestic mallard. Some birds identities are never meant to be known. lol
