Media notes
**This is not an error. This is a confirmed Cerulean Warbler singing like a Hooded Warbler! The bird flew down to within 4 meters of me at eye-level. I put the microphone on him hoping he would call or sing at close range. It took me a couple of songs to realize it was not a HOWA singing behind the Cerulean, but the Cerulean itself. It came to within 5 feet of me in a sapling and I observed it singing this song multiple times. 100% confidence in ID despite anomolous song. Retired UNCA professor Charlotte Goedsche has recorded this bird or a similar phenomenon in a different Cerulean near this location in past years.
