Observation details
Adult male. 1st generation offspring - absolutely gorgeous bird. Black throat with yellow breast below and black streaks extending down sides like Townsend's. Belly dull white. Face bright yellow lacking any olive facial mask like Hermit but with a few faint traces of darker smudging by the eye. Didn't see the back too well but seemed much more gray than olive in color - a hint of olive color was visible in a few brief oblique views.
