Observation details
I recorded a few sections of the song using Merlin Sound ID. In the seven minutes of captured recording, one mockingbird duplicated the songs of 12 different species (identified by Merlin), including Say’s Phoebe, Bullock’s Oriole, Mountain Bluebird, Rock Wren, Woodhouse’s Scrub-jay, Juniper Titmouse, Sage Thrasher, Belted Kingfisher, Pinyon Jay, American Kestrel, Gray Flycatcher, and Least Flycatcher. Later I thought I heard it singing a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher.
