Observation details
SINGING!!! I first heard this constant tu tu tu call off the trail aways and thought that it was a pygmy owl. I then attempted to locate the bird and finally visualized it sitting high up in a tree singing. To my amazement it was a NSWO! I never expected to hear one singing at 2:15 in the afternoon. I quickly found out you can whistle to mimic the song and it flew down to check me out allowing great views! Such a good new county bird!
