Observation details
A pair that appears to have a nest at 40 m from the hawk watch observation point. Usually one bird visible, very few times both birds visible at the same time. A bird would often perch for a prolonged period (10 minutes) in a leafless short tree at 5 m from the probable nest site, then disappear into the vegetation. It seemed to me both birds took turns incubating, although as I said, I have not yet found the nest.
