Observation details
Initially heard song similar to LOWA with descending whistle notes followed by a few notes but not complex. Still thought it was a LOWA at the time. Shortly after one warbler responded to LOWA playback with loud chip notes and song. It got a few meters away and saw unmistakable marks of a Swainson’s Warbler. Brown warbler with rufous crown, pink legs, and dark eyeline. Large, sharp bill. Photos and recorded song. Seen for approx 20 mins, around a third of the way into the greenway.
