Observation details
Slightly smaller, sickle wings, square tail; I am not 100% sure of this ID and never could see the face well enough or see any spots in the face. The swifts did seem smaller than the Blacks, and it would seem unlikely that some would be molting (changing the wing/tail shape) while others not molting. I think these photos apply to the birds in question, in which I note the forward swept wings and white splotch on belly near feet. The photos also show more of a tear drop shap to body with very round bottle-head shape. I never saw a Chestnut collar on any of the swifts and therefore eliminated Chestnut-collared Swift from the possibilities.
