Media notes

Calls mostly from ABDU (purple speculum, no white borders) and a few MALL flight calls after 40 secs. The ABDU's had chased the MALL pair off the pond; the MALL were in flight when calling and the calls can be heard fading off as they flew further away, while the ABDU kept calling on pond surface.

Observation details

At pond immediately to the west. Probably male and female. They were aggressive towards the Mallard pair eventually chasing them off the pond.

Additional species

  • Mallard Anas platyrhynchos
