Observation details
Today target oriented birding started. Searching for confirmed breeding evidance were started & some success seen infront. Atleast two pair of striatedgrassbird were busy around. I was sat at a single location & observerd the behaviour of one pair. I thought one big sized bird was male & took intermmitant high flights with breeding call. And female collected food. Three times food seen in beak. As soon as female collected the food & came on perch male calling started. Actually male diverted me by calling & as soon as I moved towards him the female disappeared into bushes. The pair deceived me. But during next two attempts I saw them carefully. As I was in attention both birds came on same perch & both times sat at one location more than 20 minutes. I thought something wrong & I was at a location where probable nesting may there. Hence I left that location. Male left the perch both time & came again to force female to go ahead. But female too tired with alarming call & food in mouth. Food/might be draganflies. Second time food escaped from the beak..female tried to collect again but air current not allowed her to recollect. I left the location & went behind second pair. There was also a bird with breeding call & one with alert call. But suddenly a emergency call from home & I decided to left the birding place/location. But again first par seen with food but again after waiting & waiting I could not locate the nest. Pair flew away with food in a beak of one of the bird & I winded up todays birding. Nest finding is till a challenge for me. Two different pair was definitely seen today. Three attemts of food carrying obsered today & all three preys were different. First attempt of feeding food/location of nest was missed by me since one bird diverted my attention. During Second attempt both sat on same perch or nearby & prey fallen down from beak. During Third attempt again both bird came on same perch & flew away against the direction where I considered a nest location.
