NOTES: Breeding status: TERRITORIAL PAIRED; WHISTLE SCREAM OF FEMALE AND CHIRP OF MALE. NEST UNDER CONSTRUCTION. ONE BIRD, PROBABLY THE MALE, CAME TO A NEARBY TREE. THE OTHER BIRDS APPROACHED FROM THE DISTANCE, UTTERING THE WHISTLE-SCREAM, AND LANDED IN THE SAME TREE AS THE FIRST. CHIRP VOCALIZATIONS HEARD HERE COME IN PART FROM THE ONE I BELIEVE TO BE THE MALE, BUT I CANNOT BE SURE THAT THE OTHER DID NOT ALSO UTTER THEM. PASTURE BESIDE PERMANENT STREAM. TALL TREES ALONG FENCE LINE AND STREAM. 0700-0730 HOURS. [These calls appear to represent the "eee-grack" call (at beginning of cut), the whistled "keep" call (most of the recording), and the "grrrkkk" call (at the very end of the recoridng) described in BNA account. Quality unchanged (2) - CAM - 23 November 2004]. Habitat: Creek.
