Observation details
Male Wild Turkeys were displaying. One female has an aberrant plumage coloration. Areas that would be black on a normally plumaged bird are white and shades of pale brown. "Progressive greying" and "Brown" are terms for the most common forms of colour aberration. Leucism is rare. Hein van Grouw, expert on colour aberrations in birds. Ontario Birds August 2021.
