Observation details
Heard as soon as we arrived at the higher campsite (1900m asl) and we quickly found it repeatedly coming into a fruiting tree with Swallow-tailed Cotingas and Tanagers and allowing excellent scope-views. Notable features were the obvious contrast of the yellow belly and the green upper breast and rest of the upperparts, and the contrasting cold grey upperwings with a slightly paler appearance to some of the leading edges of the primaries. The bird infrequently gave its distinctive thin high-pitched whistle, each time seemingly from a different song-post.
