Observation details
Found on 23 March, by visiting Orange Co. photographers/birders Dave & Gwen Dorn. Geoff Vieth gave us coordinates. Brownish thrasher, with plain brown wings, buffy under tail coverts, yellow-orange eye, small triangular or arrow-shaped spots on the breast, shorter and more straight bill than most other thrashers (see photos, similar to mockingbird); distinctive song (video recording of song available of request).
