Observation details
Today I conducted a PBQ census. I played advertising calls for up to 2 minutes in 10 locations. I had 9 responses and saw an additional bird flushed. Where contact occurred within the first 2 minutes (which was almost every time), I did play some additional calls to get better views/photographs On a number of occasions two females arrived separately and proceeded to chase each other. I have never noticed or look for platelets but I looked for them today and say them everywhere. Literally hundreds during the survey. Log of sightings: 0815 hrs: 3 (2f, 1m). On the unnamed track that heads NE from the intersection of Llandilo and Herb Trails. ???? hrs (no photos): 2 (2f). As above 0825 hrs: 2 (1f, 1m). On an overgrown, old track heading south towards Cattle Trail. 0909 hsr: 1 (f) On Cattle trail a few hundred metres from Herb Trail 0923 hrs: 2 (1f, 1m) Cattle and Herb Trails 1 (flushed on Barbaras Trail close to Herb Trail) 0947 hrs: 2 (1f, 1?) At the Owlet Nightjar Ironbark on Barbaras Trail ???? hrs (no photos): 2 (south side of Herb Trail, west of Cattle Trail) 1042 hrs: 1 (f) South side of Herb Trail 200 m east of Cattle Trail 1102hrs: 2 (1f, 1m) south side of Herb Trail 100 metres from Perimeter South Trail
