Observation details
It was extraordinary to see 8 LeConte's Thrashers! I saw 4 within a quarter-mile radius: Near dawn a pair ran from brush when I walked past, and a single bird was singing, and in the late morning on my way back through that general area a single bird was flushed from brush. I also saw the other 4 within a quarter-mile radius: 3 single singing birds, and 1 bird flushed from the brush. I'm nearly certain the second cluster of 4 were unique birds. It's possible in the first cluster that the bird I saw in the late morning was one of the birds I saw in the early morning, there's no way for me to tell, the 3 morning birds were definitely unique birds.
