Media notes
I flushed the pair from the River, and they circled around several times, flying down the river, then back up it, then back down, etc. The birds appeared mostly Mexican Duck, the the male (which I got a better look at) definitely had some characters associated with Mallard, particularly along the flanks, under tail covers, and tail.
