Observation details
Per Molly Pollock : The most striking thing about this individual is the facial pattern, which seems intermediate in appearance. There are some very warm brown tones around the bill with limited black, suggesting CANT, with some fuzzy black malar markings sometimes exhibited by CANT, though it seems a bit extreme on this individual. The body color seems intermediate as well, and this is especially apparent on the front: this bird has mostly warm brown tones to it, suggesting ABTO, but there are some patches where some grayish, more CANT-like colors are coming in. Additional notable features are the lack of a rufous crown or black spot on the breast typically exhibited by CANT and an ABTO-like light pink bill (not gray).
