- - *High count; When trying to count a flock feeding on grit on path at once (I got to 31 - - but there were approx 7 more) the flock was flushed by a dog into the surrounding trees, and I soon after flushed approx. 10 others from the middle weedy patch I didn't know were there. After that they were very jumpy due to the amount of dogs on the reservation. A few would come down to feed in the weeds at a time. There were probably even more than 48, all the birds I scoped in the trees were clearly commons, there were a few noticeably paler birds, but they were still commons;
