Observation details
On 20 Feb 2022 a nest of the Copper-throated Sunbird was discovered and parents were feeding chicks inside the nest although the chick could not be seen then. The female often go inside and sit in the nest probably because the chicks were very small. Feeding interval was around 15 to 30minutes. Feeding by the male was very infrequent and it did not remove faecal unlike the female. Nearby at least three pairs of birds were making lots of noisy ? courtship ? alarm calls. Nesting over when one chick fledged on 7 Mar and another on 8 Mar.
