Observation details
Plain gray face, barred back and her head was gray. The black bib of a flicker was not there. We heard her tapping in a large pine tree in the middle of the meadow near the first parking lot of North Shore Rd. She was about 20 ft. up on the trunk. We watched her for a minute standing close to tree and looking up through branches.
