Observation details
Two specimen spotted. Ultra-rare in and around Bengaluru city while very common at our home town(Coastal Karnataka). Was mimicking Bonnet Macaque, Shikra, Crested Hawk eagle and other calls. Quite evidently we spotted Crested Hawk eagle suggesting this species could be long-time resident along with the Eagle. Was foraging along with ashy and spangled drongos. No record of this species for Bengaluru officially. But as per other birders present at the place, this seemed to be regularly sighted there. Since most birders won't use eBird its not recorded for long time. Therefore this checklist will be the first record of the species for Valley School and whole of Bengaluru district/county.
