Observation details
Single(s) individual(s) seen at rest. Similar to the size of a Limosa haemastica, bird was preening and showing white upper tail coverts in strong contrast with black bars, and lower portion of tail getting dark/grayish towards to the tail tips but still black bars present, instead of mottled pattern on wings if compared to Limosa fedoa, it showed more like black streaks to the wing coverts, shorter bill appearance if compared to Limosa fedoa, bill pink from base to almost the half part of it. With picture(s). Seen by 07:00 hrs. from "El mirador", sitting and preening near the shore, the distance between the bird from the observing point was ca 50 meters, no other birds were seen close to the Limosa lapponica but a few Calidris pusilla passing by. First record belongs to Enver Ortiz Lopez.
