Observation details
(3/3/2022): **very rare, but likely underdetected. Adult male COEI with thin, sharply pointed bill lobes, zero green wash under a very rounded and concave black cap, dull unripe-banana bill, slight rosy hue to breast. In direct comparison to adult male dresseri. Clearly not v-nigrum or sedentaria, following others' lead on ruling out the European ssp. Had been looking for the CBC bird at RMSP earlier in the day (though under the impression it was a female...not sure why), and singled this bird out as suspicious. S. Mitra's pics of the RMSP borealis show likely the same individual, as do J. McGowan's from CGS a few days later. Meant to change this a long time ago, but forgot.
