Observation details

Probably same bird found by Greg Cook a few weeks ago. Yellow bill with black ring with red spot posterior to black. Bill is longer and thinner than RBGU. Dark iris. Much more streaking on head especially around eye and nape - this was characteristic that was easiest to pick out, then larger size and darker mantle. Darker gray upper parts with more contrasting white tertial crescent. Long narrow wings. Slightly larger than RBGU. Greenish yellow legs. Wing pattern seems slightly different than RBGU, especially when viewing the underside of the opposite folded wing - pattern from tip of wing being white, black, white, and then black. RBGU's pattern here is black, white, black. This bird's p10 was entirely white at the tip with no visible subterminal band (white tip combining with white mirror), but the obvious black subterminal band of p9 showed through p10 to create that effect.
