Observation details
Rare Continuing bird spotted at 10:30 on same rocky shoreline just beyond green marker buoy. Setting up at better vantage point along boat launch shore near effluent pipe. Observed bird larger than associating DCCOs. Most notable is the pale white belly ,with tawny brown throat upper chest area . Thicker larger bird with blockier head , sort of like DCCO on steroids. Watched for over an hour, before he flew North towards Huntley Plant and circled back crossing in front of Osprey platform near Beaver island. Highly cropped document photos. Glad that Matt and Alec were able to spot. NOTE : Visible white belly and distinct white chin strap bordering yellow gular patch even in distant cropped photos.
