Yellow-billed Babblers approaching with a low trill. Jungle Babblers beginning to call.
Observation details
12.281, 77.383 At one point, the Jungle Babbler flock was feeding on the ground almost noiselessly when I heard a flock of Yellow-billed Babblers calling with very low trills. I turned around to see the Yellow-billed flock very close by and approaching the Jungle Babblers. As soon as the two flocks came within touching distance of the other, a huge ruckus was created and both Yellow-billed and Jungle Babblers started calling loudly - this went on for a minute. The Yellow-billed Flock was driven up a tree by the Jungle Babblers who stood their ground, and one by one the Yellow-billed Babblers flew down a fair distance away from the Jungle Babblers and just like that - in a matter of 5-6 seconds - all was quiet again. - RS
