Observation details
Compact branta with neatly defined white neck band; highly contrasted by short black neck on top and bordered by dark edges below as it faded into a lighter chest plumage. Small rounded head that gently sloped to shorter blunt bill than that of branta Canadensis. White cheek patch extended slightly behind postocular area. Dark primaries projected slightly beyond its tail. Called out cute honks a few times.
