Media notes

Th two males, Thor and Grendell II, were housed in the barn. Vocalizations made when recordists approached and when the birds were untied. BNA: I suppose this recording contains both the "Pssa" and the "Wonk" Calls described by Ellis (1979. Development of behavior in the Golden Eagle. Wildl. Monogr. 709:1-94) and summarized by BNA, but I can't be certain. Calls that appear to represent the "wonk" are especially prevalent at 0:39-0:52 and 2:04-2:11, but the series at 2:13-2:34 appears to represent instead the "pssa" or something similar. (CAM - 23 March 2005).
