Observation details
found a lek tree; on G trail about G14; Simeon spotted a male high above us. It sat leaning forward then began flapping its wings in a circular motion, in slow motion (did this 3 or 4 times). After a second male flew in, and left, it called, then positioned itself at a 45 degree angle down a branch, lifted its wings in an arch over its back and flipped its fluffed out plumes forward, over the body. Then it started shaking or vibrating quickly, creating an incredible display! I could see a couple of feathers in the plumes that were large-barbed (see illustration); a bit shorter and more towards the sides of the plume. It would then sit with its chest puffed out.
