Observation details
This time I found the bird at the northern end of Brace Cove. I had just stepped onto the beach from the road and was surveying the water for sea birds. I looked down and the orange-crowned warbler was in shrubs right next to me It was poking around in Rosa Rugosa and beach grass at the upper edge of the beach. It was so close to me when I first saw it that I could not focus on it. I was able to follow and observe this bird for another 20 minutes or so as it foraged along the edge of the vegetation. Then I found the two A. Pipits in the same area. photos
